It’s definitely been a while since my last post 😬

To get back in the habit of writing and to have it be about something that feels authentic, I’m going to post updates on a side project: The Dynamo Project. The Dynamo Project is an interview website with creators, artists, etc., that focuses on vulnerabilities and overcoming them. I’ve taken a lot of inspiration from websites like Indie Hackers and Starter Story. I want to humanize the people behind it and demystify the process of creativity and entrepreneurship to show that it’s more attainable than people think. I feel there’s…

Yesterday was a sad sight to see in America. I’m not the greatest at effectively expressing myself, but I leave you with a quote from Obama that resonated with me:

History will rightly remember today’s violence at the Capitol, incited by a sitting president who has continued to baselessly lie about the outcome of a lawful election, as a moment of great dishonor and shame for our nation. But we’d be kidding ourselves if we treated it as a total surprise.

Stay safe, everyone. I’ll see you all in the next one.

Today I’ve been spending a good chunk of time throwing out a lot of stuff that’s been sitting around the house should’ve been dealt with sooner. It’s making the space feel new again, and while it might be a small win, it feels great. I plan to take this feeling and keep it going. I feel more motivated than I have in awhile. Stay safe, everyone.

I’ll see you all tomorrow.

It’s definitely been a while since I’ve last written, but it was a nice break. With it being the first day of 2021, I thought it was fitting to get everything rolling again.

I know it’s a common trend to set goals for the new year, and while I usually prefer systems, there is one goal that comes to mind that I want to achieve: make $1 off a side project. I have never done it before because I usually fizzle out on side projects before really doing anything with them. I am my own worst enemy in that regard.

This one is on the chiller side. Cyberpunk came out today, so I don’t know how impactful my writing will be for the next few days, but I plan to write nonetheless.

Stay safe, everyone.

I’ll see you all tomorrow.

With it being winter and being inside more, I’ve been getting into the habit of reading and listening to audiobooks more, so I’d love to hear any book recommendations. I am currently reading: Brave New World, The Righteous Mind, Thrawn, and books by Ryan Holiday. I’m pretty open to all kinds of stuff, so send them on over if you have any ideas.

Stay safe, everyone.

I’ll see you all tomorrow.

I forgot to write yesterday, and I don’t intend to write one today either because I don’t feel well, so I have donated to the SickKids Foundation.

Stay safe, everyone.

I’ll see you all tomorrow.

If anyone has tips on remote work and culture, I’d love to hear it.

Stay safe, everyone.

I’ll see you all tomorrow.

Purpose: A measure of organizational culture. The organization communicates to employees why it exists beyond making a profit.

There are a handful of other topics like our goals, values, etc. in our game plan, but these were at the top:

  • Purpose: Helping millions of people work smarter every day
  • Vision: We are the gold standard for America’s greatest brands
  • Mission: To help our customers grow their bottom line

The first time I remember experiencing the game plan was during a week-long celebration of our company and its employees, and I haven’t really forgotten it. …

Note to self: I need to start writing sooner in the day.

Stay safe, everyone.

I’ll see you all tomorrow.
